The Legacy Tour

Members of The Student Success Cohort participated in the Legacy Tour: a day-long visit to the Legacy Museum and Tuskegee University. 

 

It’s one thing to read & write  about slavery & its by-product, it’s a whole other thing to stand at the site of a former slave depot, come face to face with slave auction notices, read about cases of child rape and listen to the victims of mass incarceration. 

 

Our visit to Tuskegee University reminded students that they can overcome and exceed despite all obstacles.
